The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach will host its quarterly “Dinner with an Artist,” program July 12, featuring local artist Anna Miller.

“Dinner with an Artist” is held at the Cultural Center and features a guest artist talk, a featured exhibit, and, of course, dinner. July’s spotlight is on Miller and her exhibition “Light Reflections,” which will be on display at the Cultural Center from June 28 through Aug. 3. Guests will be able to eat dinner with the artist among her creations.

Miller earned her Masters in Painting degree from the National Academy of Fine Art and Architecture of Ukraine. She worked as a college faculty member for 12 years before pursuing a Masters in Fine Arts at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Miller is an instructor at the Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach.

“My vision began to worsen early on in life,” Miller said. “However, I often would not wear my glasses and would start seeing the world differently. … It was a world without details, but with interesting designs, fragments, light and shadows.”

During the event, there will also be “A day with Anna Miller” available for auction. The day will include spending time painting in Miller’s studio and gardens and a lunch.

“Dinner with an Artist” will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 12 and is open to the public. The ticket cost is $50 per person and includes a smoked chicken dinner with all the fixings, gourmet cookies, iced tea, beer and wine. Donations are requested for adult beverages.

The Cultural Center’s mission is to bring the arts into the life of the community through arts education, exhibitions, and outreach, and by honoring a donor-driven philosophy.

Tickets can be purchased at ccpvb.org or by calling (904) 280-0614. Proceeds from “Dinner with an Artist” help to grow the Cultural Center’s expanding exhibition calendar.
