Dr. Abraham Shulman, retired dentist and orthodontist, died Friday, July 14, 2017, at the age of 99. His family confirmed the beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather died peacefully at his home at Glenmoor in St. Augustine.

Shulman’s successful dental career in both Long Branch, New Jersey, and Bergen County, New Jersey, was matched by his popularity and character. He was a man of grace and dignity, serving his country with honor in the Army during World War II.

He and his wife, Helen Herzog Shulman, were married for nearly 79 years. They also proudly declared Florida their home along with a decade of joyful time when they lived in Las Vegas during its heyday.

After his dental career, he was well-known through their social circles as planning international travel and cruises for good friends for the ensuing 40 years.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Shulman; daughter, Leigh Cort (husband Jay Greene); son, Bruce Shulman (wife Diane Brenner); granddaughter, Sue Lomba (husband David Lomba); granddaughter, Parker Shulman; and great grandson, Zack Serebin.

Saturday, July 29, 2017, the family will have a Memorial Service in the Chapel at Glenmoor Retirement Community in World Golf Village at 2 p.m.
