Elaine Ruth Simone, Ponte Vedra FL. passed away July 9th surrounded by her two daughters and friends. Elaine was born in Long Island N.Y., she was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Carl Simone, and survived by her two loving daughters Wendy Moran and Schuyler Simone-Siefker, sons in law Shane Moran and David Siefker, and her four grandchildren who she loved deeply, Carl Siefker, Paul Siefker, Shane Moran Jr, Simone Elaine Siefker. Elaine was a loving wife and mother who always put her family and love for God above all else. 

Elaine had degrees in Psychology and Special Education and worked with Developmentally Disabled people throughout her career. Her passion for serving led Elaine and Carl to start a school and residential program in upstate New York. In 1979 they move to Ponte Vedra Florida to build the St Augustine Center for Living with her nephews Craig and Scott Greiner. After retiring, Elaine continued to serve by supporting hundreds of charities throughout the world. This mission was a very big part of her life.  

Elaine loved flowers, painting, tennis, exercising, dancing with her husband, studying the bible, traveling, boating and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren. Elaine was an excellent example of being a true partner and wife to her husband, extraordinary mother, and grandmother to all her children, friend and Steward of her church and community. Her beauty, exceptional taste and grace will be remembered by all that knew her. 

A funeral service will be held at Our Lady Star of The Sea Catholic Church on July 23rd at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Augustine Youth Services -www.sayskids.org or Mission House. Arrangements are under the direction of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville Beach, FL.
