Empowered Women Empowering is organizing a free workshop at the Beaches Branch Library from 1 to 5 p.m. Feb. 22. The event will include five sessions featuring topics about health and wellness for women business owners. Each topic will be delivered by a local woman business owner who specializes in the topic and will run for 30 minutes.
“The goal is to help local women who own businesses get the exposure amongst other women,” said Sheri Nicholson, an organizer of the event.
A few of the of the topics discussed will include, Women Investing Now, Functional Fitness, Tai Chi as a Healing Art, Positivity Improving Health, Breath Brush Meditation, Raindrop Techniques and 5 Wishes for your Life.
“We have women physicians, artists and other business owners that come speak,” Nicholson said. “Everybody brings something to somebody else and it brings the community together, which is what we are trying to do.”
