Halloween is just around the corner, which means Christmas is not far behind.
This year, there’s a new option for making Christmas memories - the Enchanted Christmas Village to be located on The Keeler Property grounds at 17255 Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville. The countdown is on for Santa’s arrival Nov. 25 at 5 p.m. for the opening of the village.
The village will feature carolers, hay rides, cookie decorating, ornament making, holiday food and drink, ice sculptures, pictures with Santa and a New Year’s Eve celebration. More than one million Christmas lights will adorn the village. An animated Christmas tree will perform every half hour and there will also be live mainstage entertainment.
The Enchanted Christmas Village, presented by Jacksonville Holiday Extravaganza, opens Nov. 25 and will run through Dec. 31.
Tickets are on sale now. Early bird tickets will be available for a limited time through Oct. 31. Season passes are also available. A buffet-style breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus along with several of their North Pole elves will take place Saturdays from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the Enchanted Custom Igloo. The breakfast will also include storytelling by Mrs. Claus and other kid-friendly activities. This will be a separate ticketed event.
