Experience a birthday in Jacksonville’s ‘Candyland’

Posted

Skip the traditional cake and candles and celebrate special occasions at Sweet Pete’s in Jacksonville, where guests can go behind the scenes of candy-making and create their own sweet treats.

Jacksonville’s very own “Candyland,” located off Hogan Street in downtown, offers multiple options for creating the ideal celebration for any event and any sweet tooth.

“We have adorable rooms and settings,” said Sweet Pete’s owner, Allison Behringer.

“We decorate for every season, with family-fun all year.”

Choose between Sweet Pete’s “Chocolate Room” or “Candy Room” and customize the celebration with unique candies, chocolates and activities.

Looking to make DIY treat? Choose between the “interactive” class, a typically seated event where guests can get a “full experience” of regular classes and elevated treats, or the “demo” class, where they have more freedom to mix and mingle while creating more basic, yet equally flavorful candy.

For those wanting to skip the making and head straight to the eating, the “candy buffet” gives the option to choose nine different candies for all feast upon.

“These are great for on or off-site parties,” Behringer said. We have over 1000 different types of candy and can work with all budgets to make a custom set-up.”

The buffet feeds up to 25 people, or maybe just five, depending on how sweet those teeth really are.
