Fire damages apartment complex in Ponte Vedra Beach, temporarily displaces residents

A fire on Monday afternoon damaged three apartments in The Coast at Ponte Vedra Lakes, an apartment complex located at 611 Ponte Vedra Lakes Blvd.

According to St. Johns County Fire Rescue spokesman Jeremy Robshaw, the fire did not cause any injuries to residents, however, it has temporarily displaced the residents living in those three units. Two of the apartments, he said, sustained much less serious damage than the third.

Both St. Johns County Fire Rescue and the Jacksonville Beach Fire Department responded to the incident. According to Robshaw, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
