The Junior League of Jacksonville will host its third annual Holiday Tour of Homes this week.

The tour is a fundraiser held in December that features local homes and businesses in the Riverside and Avondale areas that have been adorned with holiday decorations.

This year, the tour will be an outside-only event featuring the lawns and porches of five homes and two businesses. They will be available for viewing between 3 and 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5. The Riverside House, Junior League of Jacksonville’s headquarters, will be the only venue open where tour attendees can view inside the property. It will be the starting location for the tour.

Holiday Tour of Homes attendees will receive a passport to accompany them on their journey “around the world” as each venue will have representation from a different country. The passport will provide a map of the partially walkable tour and instructions on how to participate in a scavenger hunt that provides entry into a prize drawing upon completion of the tour.

The passport also allows attendees to receive a complimentary drink at Burlock and Barrel Distillery and Lemonstreet Brewing Company. A plethora of take-away items will be available on a first come, first served basis at each venue.

The Riverside House will offer free, fun-filled games and additional activities for attendees as well as the opportunity to purchase food and beverages.

Funds raised from Holiday Tour of Homes will be used to support the Junior League of Jacksonville’s mission and its initiatives such as its signature project, Fresh Minds, which focuses on combating food insecurity in the community.
