Howard Wallenstein

Howard Wallenstein passed away on Sunday, November 8, 2015 after a short battle with cancer. He was born on May 8, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York.

Howard was a graduate of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.

He worked in the food manufacturing industry and ultimately retired from the Fulton County Public Works Department as a project manager.

He proudly served as an officer in the United States Navy. An avid world traveler, private pilot, scuba-diver and WW2 historian, Howard was known for his ability to talk to anyone and make them laugh.

Howard Wallenstein is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Newman; his sister, Paula Camhi; his son, David Wallenstein; his daughter, Susan Gates; beloved step-sons, Ricky, Randy and Jody Newman along with six granddaughters, four grandsons, one great-granddaughter and many extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Mark Wallenstein.

Howard will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that any donations be made to K-9s For Warriors in Howard’s name.
