It’s time to hit the bustling art scene in Northeast Florida. The weather is cooler, but the arts are heating up! Check out The Recorder’s fall in the arts calendar to see what’s happening locally in the arts.

Ellen Diamond

Contemporary impressionist artist, Ellen Diamond, will be making a presentation entitled “Experiment Before Your Eyes.” Thursday, Nov. 12 at 2 p.m. at the Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library. This free program is made possible by FOCUS Cummer and the Friends of the Library.

‘Finding Baroque’ exhibit

Edgar Endress “Finding Baroque” will be on display at the Crisp-Ellert Art Museum through Nov. 25. The exhibit is a collaborative project between Flagler students and artist Edgar Endress. The exhibit is open during regular business hours Monday through Friday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Admission is free. The museum is located at 48 Sevilla St., St. Augustine. ‘The Christians’ at Limelight Theatre

‘Christina Hope ‘at J. Johnson Gallery

ABET presents ‘Black Pearl Sings!’

The Atlantic Beach Experimental Theatre presents “Black Pearl Sings!” Nov. 6-8 and 13-15. Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 8 p.m. and Sunday performances are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online at www.abettheatre.com. ‘A Beheading in Spokane’

at Players by the Sea

Players by the Sea presents “A Beheading in Spokane” Nov. 6-21. Thursday through Saturday curtain is at 8 p.m.; Sunday curtain is at 2 p.m. Ages 16 and up; some language may be offensive. Florida Chamber Music Project

presents Dvorak

Terzetto and String Quartet IN e FLAT Major, Opus 51 will be performed Sunday, Nov. 22 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall as part of the Florida Chamber Music Project. EMMA Concert Association presents The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet

The Minneapolis Guitar Quartet ensemble will perform music by Piazzolla, J.S. Bach, Rodrigo and others, Sunday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College, St. Augustine. Tickets are $30 for adults; tickets for children and students with ID are $5. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.emmaconcerts.com or at the Box Office. The box office opens one hour before the performance.

PorchFest 2015

Over 20 local musicians from a variety of musical genres will perform on assorted porches throughout the historic district of Springfield in downtown Jacksonville on Saturday, Nov. 7 from noon-9 p.m. The event is free and family-friendly. For more information, visit www.jacksonvilleporchfest.org.

Jax by Jax

Jax by Jax, a festival showcasing the talents of 24 local writers, will take place Saturday, Nov. 14 from 3-7 p.m. in Riverside. Festival-goers can peruse the 12 participating venues along Park and King Streets and listen to local authors, poets and playwrights read and talk about their works. An after party and book sighing will take place at Everess Art Studio, located on the corner of Rosselle and King Streets. Entry to the after party is $10 with proceeds supporting the festival.

The Moody Blues at the

St. Augustine Amphitheatre

Rock legends The Moody Blues announce the lineup for their 2016 spring tour titled “Fly Me High” which will include a stop at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Friday, March 11, 2016.

Ticket prices range from $39.5 0 to $99.50. Gates open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m.

Tickets for The Moody Blues will go on sale Friday, Nov. 13 at 10 a.m. at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre and Ponte Vedra Concert Hall Box Offices. Tickets will also be available at ticketmaster.com, all authorized TicketMaster outlets or by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Gaelic Storm to perform at the

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall

Irish band Gaelic Storm to Ponte Vedra Beach on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016. Tickets for Gaelic Storm will go on sale this Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.

Tickets for the seated show are $34.50 for the first 10 rows; $29.50 for all remaining rows. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m.

Lannadoo Celtic Festival

Lannadoo, a Jacksonville Celtic Festival celebrating Celtic culture, music and heritage, will take place over two day on Saturday, Nov. 14 and Sunday, Nov. 15 at the Seawalk Pavilion and Latham Plaza. The festival will feature family-friendly activities, food and merchandise vendors, highland games, a 5K Kilt Run and more. The festival is open to the public and free to attend. Beaches Fine Arts Series: Calmus, voice ensemble

German vocal group, Calmus, will perform Friday, Dec. 4 from 4-7:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church as part of the Beaches Fine Arts Series. The concert is free and open do the public. Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra

presents Hollywood Epics

The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Michael Krajewski, will perform popular scores from some of Hollywood’s blockbuster films including, “Ben Hur,” “Titanic,” “Gone wit the Wind,” and “Star Wars.”

Performances will take place Nov. 6 and 7 at 300 Water St., Jacksonville.

On Nov. 6, the coffee concert performance, hosted by the Jacksonville Symphony Guild, begins at 11 a.m. with pre-concert coffee at 10 a.m. On Nov. 7, the performance begins at 8 p.m.

Romanza Gathering with featured performer, Amy Hendrickson

On the second Tuesday of the month from 5-7 p.m., the creative community has a chance to socialize, communicate and share ideas and information at the monthly Romanza Gatherings. On Tuesday, Nov. 10, the featured performer will be Amy Hendrickson. The gathering will take place at Amici’s Italian Restaurant, 1915 A1A S., St. Augustine.
