Jacksonville Symphony musicians to perform free concerts as part of St. Augustine Music Festival

St. Augustine’s Cathedral Basilica will once again play host to musicians from the Jacksonville Symphony this month, as the St. Augustine Music Festival returns for its 11th season.

To be held June 15-17 and June 22-24 at 7:30 p.m., the free concerts will feature symphony musicians performing selections from Beethoven, Bach, Haydn, Ravel, Mozart and Stravinsky. Performances will include soloists and chamber music ensembles as well as full orchestral arrangements.

The Cathedral Basilica is located at 38 Cathedral Place in St. Augustine’s Historic District. Scheduled performances include:

June 15: Violinist Nigel Armstrong

June 16: Stephen Robinson on guitar

June 17: Pianists Leon Fleisher and Katherine Jacobson

June 22: The Diaz Trio: Andres Cardenes, Andres Diaz and Roberto Diaz

June 23: Concert featuring Beethoven’s Horn Sextet in E Flat Major and Ravel’s String Quartet in F Major

June 24: Violinist Elissa Koljonen
