Jerome Brent Hollis, born Oct. 14, 1956, died and went to heaven March 5, 2018, after suffering complications from extensive pulmonary illness.

Jerome had resided in Silver Springs, Florida, since 1991, and was preceded in death by his father, Richard C. Hollis. Jerome is survived by his mother, Sue Hollis, of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and leaves brothers Rick Hollis, of Brookville, Indiana, and Neal Hollis, of Harrison, Ohio; and sisters Debra Bicknell, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Patricia Hollis, of Harrison, Ohio.

Jerome was a trained professional chef and spent many years as a restaurant setup manager for Morrisons Cafeterias. Jerome had a deep passion for art and antiques, specifically a large collection of Chinese Art, European mid-century antiques and the deepest knowledge for turn-of-the-century furniture. Jerome donated many fine pieces of art to the Lightner Museum in St. Augustine, Florida, and many more pieces of his prized collection will be brought there for everyone to enjoy.

Jerome was a most generous and kind gentleman who befriended people and loved pets, especially his Dalmatian Dotty. Jerome will be sorely missed by his family, and specifically his extended family of cousins, uncles and aunts.

No memorial services are planned at this time. The immediate family will celebrate his life in Cincinnati in late April, where his ashes will be interred. Many blessings to all.
