PGA TOUR Professional Chesson Hadley will host a live Twitter Q&A event at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10 at TPC Sawgrass. The event will be hosted at a private home on Seven Mile Drive and is open to the first 50 junior golfers and their families that RSVP. There is no cost to attend the event. Junior golfers who cannot attend in person are invited to participate via Twitter.
The event is presented as a partnership among several Jacksonville-area golf organizations to thank junior golfers and their families for the dedication to the game, and to provide insight into what it takes to move through junior and college golf and on to the professional level. Among those partners are The Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), Game Golf, Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) Golf Jacksonville, The Golf Academy of North Florida, North Florida Junior Golf (NFJG) Foundation and Tour, and Berardi Golf Academy. Any junior golfer who asks a question, in-person or online, will be entered to win a GAME GOLF unit after the event. In-person attendees will also be entered into a drawing to win one of the several giveaways donated by the host organizations.
Chesson Hadley earned his PGA TOUR card in 2014, won the Puerto Rico Open and was named PGA TOUR Rookie of the Year. Originally from Raleigh (NC), he played his college golf at Georgia Tech where he was a three time All-American and won two events, including the 2012 ACC Championship. He turned pro in 2010, earning his way onto the Web.com Tour in 2013.
Local junior golfer, Hannah Berman, will act as host and announcer for the event. Berman is a graduating senior at Ponte Vedra High School and captain of their girls’ golf team. She competed in the 2015 U.S. Women’s Amateur, won the USGA/AJGA President’s award and a received a golf scholarship to the University of West Florida.
