Kellon Neal Wilson

Kellon Neal Wilson, 21, of Ponte Vedra Beach, died June 10, 2017, as a result of a motor vehicle crash on Interstate 10. He was born July 13, 1995, in Ponte Vedra Beach, the son of Linda and Jeff Wilson. He attended Ocean Palms Elementary School, Landrum Middle School and graduated from Ponte Vedra High School in 2013, where he was a member of the men’s basketball team and served as captain his senior year. He was finishing up classes at Florida State University where he was studying meteorology.

Kellon played many sports throughout his childhood both competitively and with friends, and was most well-known for his love of basketball. From physical education classes at Landrum and PV, to travel teams, high school teams and more, he was always on the court with a ball in his hands. Many friends at FSU relied on him for tutoring, as a gym or rock climbing buddy, and of course, for his quick wit and great sense of humor.

Kellon is survived by his parents, Linda and Jeff of Ponte Vedra, and his sister, Olivia, currently living in Los Angeles. He also leaves his paternal grandmother, Jane Burdette, and many close friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of Kellon’s life will be held at the Ponte Vedra High School gymnasium on Saturday, June 17 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please bring a photo or note card of a memory with Kellon to be left with the family.
