Letter carrier food drive to take place May 12

United Way of St. Johns County is holding a letter carrier food drive on Saturday, May 12.

In addition to the ususal letters, bills and solicitations, St. Johns County residents are encouraged to place non-perishable food items in their mailboxes for the drive held by the National Association of Letter Carriers, the U.S. Postal Service, the Rural Letter Carriers Association, the AFL-CIO and the United Way of St. Johns County.

Locally, over 30,000 pounds were collected during last year's 2017 drive. Carriers, United Way-SJC, volunteers and local nonprofits have worked together to distribute the collection to county food banks/shelters.
