During the “stay at home” order the country is trying to make sense of, the St. Augustine’s Billy Buchanan is making it his mission to bring joy and a special connection to his fans around the United States and Europe, through his “themed” weekly live streaming shows.
The shows are live streamed on Facebook Live (www.facebook.com/billybmusic).
He performs every Wednesday and Friday nights at 8 p.m., and twice on Sundays – an uplifting worship set at 11 a.m., and another themed show at 7 p.m.
Buchanan performs all the great music that has inspired him during his music career, in a 90-minute show. Whether it’s a “Soul Night,” “‘80s Night,” “Songs from the Movies Night” or a “request Night,” he is making people happy during a very difficult time, and they love it.
Thousands are tuning in each week and being encouraged to tune in. Listeners are encouraged to make comments and engage with Buchanan during the show. Donations are appreciated, but not expected.
“This is a difficult time for all of us, and we’re all longing for some normalcy,” Buchanan said. “I’m so thankful that I can share my gift with others via social media and bring some joy into their homes. My live-streaming shows allow me to keep my chops up, learn some new tunes, and stay connected with my fans. These shows have definitely been a real bright spot for me during this pandemic.”
Buchanan is a fulltime entertainer and songwriter, he and performs 250-plus shows a year all over the country. Billy also mentors, consults and develops aspiring artists through his music company, Persevere Entertainment Group.
