Residents were in it to twin it at the KYDS Children Boutique’s Back to School Twins in the Courtyard party on Aug. 1. Many winners of the twins photoshoot made appearances in matching outfits for balloon animals, caricature drawings, prizes and 22% off their purchases.

Owners of the boutique, twins Rachel Crismond and Melody Joy Snelen are in their third year of the store’s opening and second for the Twins in the Courtyard party.

“As twin business owners, being a twin is so invaluable to how we work with each other and we know what a special bond it is between twins,” Snelen said. “We wanted to celebrate twins and the relationship they have.”

The KYDS Boutique is located in the heart of the Beaches Town Center and offers a collection of unique and upscale children’s clothing and toys.

The photoshoot winners were picked from hundreds of submissions from around the area. Twins from infant to teens participated to show off their special bonds. Snelen said she and her sister love bringing the community twins out to meet each other and make going back to school fun for all children in the area.

“We have a permanent built-in best friend, somebody that knows and understands you with unconditional love,” Snelen said. “Even on your worst days or best days, someone is in your corner. The goal of the party was to (foster) excitement for kids in the area, while also celebrating our twins, too”
