A Duval County man took his own life on Wednesday in Ponte Vedra Beach, according to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office (SJSO).
The incident took place near the intersection of A1A and Mickler Road. According to SJSO, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office (JSO) was searching for the man after he had made threats to harm himself.
SJSO located the individual in the late afternoon at the intersection and alerted JSO. Shortly after, the individual took his own life with a gun. The area was blocked off until later in the evening.
