Maria Radoslovich Cox, age 86, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL passed away Sunday October 24, 2021 at her home in Ponte Vedra Beach. The cause of her death was progressive pulmonary disease.
Maria’s career as an interior designer spanned two decades and included collaborations with such design firms as Harrison & Abramovitz; Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and ISD Inc. in New York, San Francisco and Boston. A Cornell University Fine Arts graduate, Maria was an Associate member of the American Institute of Architects, an Affiliate of the American Federation of the Arts, and she actively served on multiple boards and committees throughout her life including serving as a Trustee Emeritus at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Jacksonville. Her passion for design and the arts led her outdoors to the landscape. In 1995 she earned two degrees from the New York Botanical Garden in Commercial Horticulture and Landscape design. Her gardens were a great source of joy and inspiration to Maria and to all who experienced them.
Maria and her late husband Don resided in New York City and on Hilton Head Island before residing in Ponte Vedra Beach. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late architects Kate (nee Hall) Radoslovich and Mike Radoslovich, FAIA and her sister, Claire Clark. She is survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28th at Palms Presbyterian Church, 3410 Third Street South, Jacksonville, Beach, FL 904-246-6427.
