St. Johns County Chamber president attends Governor’s Leadership Dinner

St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Isabelle Rodriguez was among a small group of leaders from across the state to meet with Gov. Rick Scott at the Governor’s Leadership Dinner. Held Aug. 24 at the governor’s mansion in Tallahassee, the event brought together 40 community leaders to discuss innovative ideas for moving Florida forward.

“It was a great opportunity to share our county and organization’s story, and to learn what some of this state’s most resourceful people are doing in their communities,” Rodriguez said.

Davidson Realty welcomes Agent Ciara Napoleon

Davidson Realty recently added Ciara Napoleon to its team of real estate agents. Napoleon brings to Davidson more than 10 years of experience as a business owner.

“Ciara has a careful attention to detail and she is always focused on her customers’ wants and needs,” President Sherry Davidson said. “We are pleased to welcome her aboard.”            

Napoleon was born in Germany and raised in Northeast Florida. Since 2004, she has owned and operated a hair care business in Jacksonville.

Geiwetz closes sale of North Florida Roofing

John Geiwitz of Transworld Business Advisors recently completed the business sale transaction of North Florida Roofing in Jacksonville Beach to Chris Canipe. According to Geiwetz, his initial contact began two years ago, when Canipe was searching to buy a logistics business in Northeast Florida. After reviewing numerous possible businesses, however, the well-establishing roofing firm met Canipe’s ultimate criteria to buy a company that could thrive with the correct operational systems in place.

Burkhardt promoted to vice president

Daniel Burkhardt has been promoted to vice president at NAI Hallmark Partners.

Burkhardt joined Hallmark in 2012 as an associate specializing in office leasing and investment sales. During the past 4 years, Burkhardt helped broker approximately 1.5 million square feet of sales and leasing transactions with a value of more than $60 million, including such high-profile deals as the sale of Butler Pointe, Baymeadows Business Center and Northeast Florida Industrial Center.

 Cummer Museum names Keris COO/chief curator

Holly Keris has been named chief operating officer and chief curator of the Cummer Museum of Art and Gardens. A 13-year veteran of the museum, Keris previously served as chief curator. She assumes the role of chief operating officer following the recent resignation of Museum Director Hope McMath.

Murray joins Watson Realty

MaryBeth Murray has joined Watson Realty Corp.’s Nocatee office as a sales associate. A native of Buffalo, New York, Murray has been a St. Johns County resident for 14 years. She brings to her new role more than a decade of sales and marketing experience. Murray also has mortgage and banking expertise, having held positions at Fannie Mae and operated her own underwriting business.

An MBA graduate from La Salle University, Murray is an active member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Florida Association of REALTORS®, Northeast Florida Association of REALTORS® and National Association of Professional Women.
