The Nease Marching Band (Panther Regiment) under the direction of band director, Ben Gaona participated in the Marching Band MPA (Music Performance Assessment) for FBA District 17 on Nov. 1 at Duncan U. Fletcher High School.
The Marching Band MPA is an event where marching bands are evaluated in six categories based on the band’s musical and visual performance. The six categories are visual performance, general effect (music and visual elements), music performance, music, auxiliary and percussion. This assessment provides critical evaluation of a band’s performance by experts in the field.
Twenty-two bands participated in the Marching Band MPA at Duncan U. Fletcher High School. The Panther Regiment took the field and performed its 2025 show titled, “Dance, Love, Believe.” At the end of the night, the Panther Regiment scored superior in all six categories and ended with a final rating of superior. The Panther Regiment was one of only six marching bands to score superior in all six categories.
In addition to the superior rating, the Panther Regiment received a grade of “A” in each category. The Panther Regiment is worthy of being recognized as among the very best.
The dedication and hard work of The Panther Regiment really show in their performances. This was a perfect end to a remarkable and exhilarating marching season.
