Nease guard Camille Hobby named Class 7A Player of the Year by Florida Dairy Farmers


Nease senior guard Camille Hobby was named the 2019 Class 7A Player of the Year by the Florida Dairy Farmers on Wednesday, March 13, and is one of nine finalists for the 2019 Miss Basketball Award.

Hobby led the Lady Panthers to a 30-2 record and a state runner-up finish by averaging 18 points, 11 rebounds, 2.2 blocks and two steals per game. The NC State commit also finished the season with 20 double-doubles.

According to a release from the Florida Dairy Farmers, finalists are selected through balloting by a statewide panel of high school girls’ basketball coaches and high school media members. The 2019 Miss Basketball and Girls Basketball Coach of the Year winners will be announced following a final round of balloting by coaches and media.
