Sawgrass Village’s newest restaurant will open its doors next week, when Nona Blue holds a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening Sept. 14 at its new location at 325 Front St.

Owned by PGA Tour golfer Graeme McDowell, Nona Blue will feature the same menu as McDowell’s restaurant of the same name located in Orlando. Built around the concept of a modern tavern, the 7,148 square foot restaurant will feature an eclectic menu centered around Nona Blue’s wood fired grill. Filet mignon, Kansas City strip and roasted prime rib will share space on the menu alongside such diverse offerings as street tacos, flatbread pizzas, “Mama’s meatloaf” and traditional English fish and chips. The bar will feature 16 craft beers, an extensive wine list and “Out of the Blue” specialty drinks.

The kids’ menu, meanwhile, will offer such staples as peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, chicken tenders, cheeseburgers and mac and cheese.

Nona Blue will kick off the festivities Sept. 14 with a 4 p.m. ribbon cutting and press conference; doors will open to the public at 5 p.m.
