The Ocean Palms Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization recently gained an ally in their fundraising effort to build a new $150,000-playground at the school.
The JT Townsend Foundation donated $5,000 toward the new ADA-compliant structure, which will benefit all students at the Ponte Vedra Beach school, including its approximately 600 students with special needs.
The play structure will include an otter float that is wheelchair accessible, which supports the JT Townsend Foundation’s mission of “bettering the lives of children and adults with disabilities on the First Coast by providing financial assistance, adaptive equipment, and research funding.”
