Passport services are now available locally to residents of Ponte Vedra and surrounding areas at the Ponte Vedra branch of the St. Johns County Tax Collector.
According to the office of St. Johns County Clerk of Court & Comptroller Hunter S. Conrad, this service will alleviate the need to travel to the Judicial Center in St. Augustine to apply for a passport. This service will be available Mondays and Wednesdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. by appointment only, as of May 20. To make an appointment, call (904) 819-3632.
“After a very successful pilot program launch and implementation in the Northwest, it’s now time to expand our offered services to the Northeast as well,” Conrad said. “We’re constantly looking at ways to meet the needs of our constituents in a sustainable and fiscally conservative manner and this has proven to be just that.”
Upon making an appointment, the Clerk’s staff will advise you regarding the forms needed to complete the application and the acceptable methods of payment. In addition to passport applications, citizens will also be able to get their passport photos taken on site for a fee of $10.65.
