The Ponte Vedra Athletic Association has once again proven it is a force to be reckoned with, capturing five Cal Ripken State Championships in summer 2025 and showcasing a level of dominance rarely seen in youth baseball.
The club brought home state titles in the following age divisions:
• 8UB-Schmitz
• 8UA-Eichhammer (back-to-back champs)
• 9UA-Silva (won two of the last three state titles)
• 10UA-Ross (back-to-back champs)
• 11UA-Ritter
These aren’t travel teams stacked from across the state. These are local kids — most living within a five-mile radius — coming together to create a youth baseball dynasty in Northeast Florida. The Sharks’ impressive 2025 run is not just a testament to talent but to community, coaching and a commitment to excellence from top to bottom.
“Winning is fun, but what makes this special is seeing these kids grow together — on the field, in school and in life,” said PVAA Baseball President Amber Goembel. “They play for each other, for their community, and it shows.”
With back-to-back state titles in two divisions and multiple age groups consistently competing at the highest level, Ponte Vedra Baseball is building more than champions — it’s building a legacy.
The Sharks now set their sights on regional and national competition, aiming to bring more hardware home to Ponte Vedra and continue this unprecedented run.
