Two Ponte Vedra sisters were crowned Miss Winter Park 2017 and Miss Winter Park’s Outstanding Teen during the 2017 Miss Winter Park Pageant Oct. 29.

Kelly Savage, 22, is a 2012 graduate of Ponte Vedra High School, where she served as student body president and was crowned Miss PVHS and Miss St. Johns County 2012. She graduated in 2016 from the University of Mississippi and now resides in Orlando, where she works professionally as a digital media host and producer for Advanced Recovery Systems.

“Being named Miss Winter Park is a tremendous honor in and of itself,” said Kelly. “To have this opportunity alongside my sister is a very unique experience and one I know we’ll treasure for a lifetime.”

Caitlyn Savage, 16, attended Ocean Palms Elementary and Landrum Middle School, and is now a junior dance major at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts. She is a member of the Dance Theater company at the school and is also a featured soloist for the upcoming First Coast Nutcracker Ballet.

The 2017 pageant was comprised of 25 contestants, ages 13 to 23, who competed in the Miss and Teen divisions. Categories included a private interview, talent, onstage question, evening gown and lifestyle and fitness in active wear for the teen participants, with a swimsuit category for the misses.

Kelly will go on to represent Winter Park at the Miss Florida 2017 pageant, the official state preliminary to Miss America. Caitlyn will represent Winter Park at the Miss Florida’s Outstanding Teen pageant, the preliminary to the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant. Both state pageants will be held in Lakeland in July 2017.

The Savages look forward to active engagement in the Ponte Vedra and Winter Park communities and are available for community functions, charity events speaking engagements, school visits, and more.
