Ponte Vedra High School senior Sara McKevitt continued her standout golf performance recently, carding an even par 36 in the team’s initial match against Nease High School, claiming medalist honors.
Under the direction of Coach Clint Finlay, McKevitt is in her fourth year of varsity play, improving her performance each year. Last year, she led the Sharks at the prestigious Honda Invitational Golf Tournament, posting a two-day score of 82 and 81. Her nine-hole low score last year was a 35 at the district tournament.
A member of the All-County Golf Team the last two years, McKevitt practices at the Windsor Parke Golf Club and also participates in local and regional golf tournaments. Along with junior Sophie Membrino, she looks to lead the Sharks to a repeat of their district and regional championships and make a successful run at the state championship.
