For its September “signature” community service project, the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra assisted INK (Investing in Kids) in its Tools4Schools Program by organizing a school supplies drive for the benefit of teachers and students in the St. Johns schools.
Two “INK Donation Days” were scheduled. The first was Sept. 13 at the St. John Paul II Early Learning Center and the second was Sunday, Sept. 27, at VyStar’s Nocatee office, where Ponte Vedra Rotarians gathered to receive hundreds of needed school supplies (flash drives, colored pencils, highlighters, etc.) dropped off by members of the club and other supportive residents of Nocatee.
INK-StJohns, a local nonprofit organization, functions as the educational foundation of the St. Johns schools with a mission to offer innovative programs and classroom resources to supplement available public resources to promote the academic success of St. Johns County public school students.
The club’s October “signature” project features a food drive for the benefit of St. Johns Food Pantry whose needs have increased substantially as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
