Sawgrass Village welcomed another store to its growing shopping center with the April 23 opening of the second Jacksonville-area Scout & Molly’s Boutique.

Spearheaded by Emily Rhodin, a Ponte Vedra resident and owner of Scout and Molly’s Greater Jacksonville locations, the new storefront joins a growing directory of shops and eateries to the revitalized Sawgrass Village area.

“It’s been so exciting to see the rejuvenation of the area and it’s amazing what’s being done here,” Rhodin said. “We’ve needed a lifestyle center for quite a while, so as a resident I was excited to be a part of it.”

The store is one of several in a franchise started in 2002 by Founder and COO Lisa Kornstein in Raleigh, North Carolina. Specializing in fashion-forward clothing for a wide range of women, the Sawgrass location features a mix of clothing for all occasions.

“This boutique is special because it offers everything from active wear to Friday night out to workwear, all in one location” said Rhodin. “We want it to feel as if our customers are shopping in their best friend’s closet.”

In addition to accessories and attire, Scout & Molly’s Boutique also offers personal services, include personal shopping from home, and in-store and after-hours shopping parties for groups of eight to 15. Rhodin said the boutique is committed to offering a variety of clothing and accessories from brands both global and local, carrying names such as Tom Ford and Roberto Cavalli in eyewear as well as Jacksonville-based jewelry brands Liana Paula and Liv N Grace.

And on the subject of working local, Rhodin has a personal interest in bringing the boutique’s flair to Jacksonville.

“I’m very passionate about the Jacksonville area because I was born and raised here,” she said. “I’ve always wanted to own a business so I’m excited to bring a new brand to the city’s market.”
