Organization seeking volunteers for upcoming events

Posted

St. Johns CARES Kids is inviting interested community members to attend its next meeting Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. to learn more about the organization’s mission of encouraging youth to volunteer. The meeting will also provide attendees with the opportunity to sign up for upcoming volunteer opportunities, such as the upcoming 9/11 Never Forget First Responders event.

Additionally, meeting organizers will allocate time to review the St. Johns CARES master calendar and brainstorm ways to improve future volunteer events by including more members of the community. The meeting will take place at the Psych Ed Connections building at 260 Town Plaza Ave. Suite 230 in Nocatee.

St. Johns CARES is a nonprofit organization that provides aid for local charities in St. Johns County through donations and time. The organization divides charity efforts into four categories: animals and environment, senior and medical, children and homeless and abused. Due to a partnership with Helping Hands of Nocatee, St. Johns CARES Kids has formed to allow more opportunities for families and children to serve the community.
