Culinary tastings, cooking demonstrations and live entertainment will be among the offerings this weekend as St. Johns Town Center hosts the kick-off party for Sip & Savor Jax: Jacksonville Restaurant Week

To be held Saturday, Sept. 10 from 4 to 9 p.m., the Sip & Savor kick-off party is open to the public and will be held at St. Johns Town Center between the Coach and Brooks Brothers stores. The free event will also include food and wine tastings, family activities, and giveaways.

Sip & Savor Jax is a 15-day city-wide culinary experience that begins Sept. 11. Participating restaurants will offer three-course prix-fixe menus – an appetizer, main entrée and dessert – at price points of $15, $25, $25 and $45. Flying Iguana, Restaurant Medure, HOBNOB, Bistro Aix, and Taverna are among the featured city-wide participating restaurants.

As an extension to the culinary event, select bars and breweries, including Engine 15 and The Hourglass Pub, will feature a specialty cocktail or draft beer unique to Jacksonville Restaurant Week.

In addition, Jacksonville Beer Week will be held in conjunction with Jacksonville Restaurant Week from Sept. 17-24 and will feature events at local breweries, brew pubs, restaurants and bars. Beer Week will conclude with the 2nd Annual Mash In Festival Sept. 24 at Engine 15’s Glass Factory in downtown Jacksonville. Tickets are on sale now at https://jaxbeerweek.eventbrite.com.
