The Stellers Gallery will exhibit the works of several nationally recognized painters from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday April 29 at 240 A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Titled “Hue,” the new exhibit will feature the works of painters Michelle Armas, Shawn Meharg, Enrique Mora and Steve Williams.

“Hue is a spring art exhibition and celebration of bold and entertaining, grand and vivid colors designed to enhance the environment and enlighten the viewer with spiritual and personal growth,” Stellers Gallery owner Hillary Tuttle said.

Armas paints by building upon layers, textures and patterns. Graffiti and ethnic woven textiles are featured in her work, which includes a myriad of images based on key life experiences that inspire her work. Meharg’s work, Tuttle said, focuses on the making of art which aids him in recalling forgotten moments of his past. The traces of time represented in the paintings are often occurrences or interactions with people or nature as formative snapshots in an elaborate sequence of events, leading to the present.

Mora’s recent body of work is inspired by the immersion of his heritage in the Caribbean and Bahamas. With a new studio in the Miami Design District, he is also involved in the international and cultural scene replete with world-class art museums and an area that reflects his Latin roots.

According to Steve Williams, his new paintings explore the aspects of more than 25 years as an artist. This is the first collection, however, which incorporates his dramatic intentions and explores the theme of maturity and self.

Stellers Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, call 904-273-6065 or visit www.stellersgallery.com.
