TPC Storytellers present annual donation to local nonprofits

On Dec. 5, the TPC Storytellers hosted a luncheon at the TPC Clubhouse to present four local nonprofits with a monetary award of $25,000 divided among the organizations.

The donations went to C.O.P.S., Northeast Florida Chapter of Concerns of Police Survivors, Vets 4 Vets, Foster Closet and Friends of the St. Johns County Pet Center. St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Director of Corrections Sam Williams and Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office Sheriff Mike Williams were in attendance.

The donations were made possible by the volunteer group of storytellers who give tours of the TPC Clubhouse and the famous 17th and 18th holes on the course. There is no charge for the tours, but gratuities are accepted, and this is the source of the annual donation.

This was the 11th year of the awards to local charities. Many of the storytellers have been giving tours for 10 years or more, with Jim Kleck being the captain of the group.
