Vacation raffle to highlight Rotary Club’s Mineral City Celebration

A chance to win a vacation to Hawaii, Ireland, Tuscany or Rome will be just one of the highlights of the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach’s annual Mineral City Celebration.

Tickets for the “Changes in Latitude” trip raffle are now available for purchase online at Tickets are $100 each or five tickets for $400. The winner will be able to choose from four exotic destinations: Hawaii, Ireland, Tuscany or Rome. Full descriptions on each trip are available on the Mineral City Celebration website.

The winner of the raffle will be announced live at the Mineral City Celebration; the winner does not need to be present to win.

To be held Saturday, March 25 at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, this year’s Mineral City Celebration will feature a Jimmy Buffett-style theme of “PonteVedraville,” complete with flip flops, Key West attire and décor and a menu featuring tropical and Caribbean cuisine. The band Island Paradise will provide live entertainment at the charity fundraiser, which will be emceed by Channel 4 news anchor Kent Justice.

The 2017 Mineral City event will also feature the presentation of the annual “Rock of the Community Award” to Donna Deegan in recognition for her advocacy on behalf of breast cancer research and treatment.

The Mineral City Celebration is the signature annual fundraising event for the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach. Proceeds from the event benefit more than two dozen local nonprofit organizations and charities, including the Beaches Dial-a-Ride program, Mission House, BEAM, HEAL, the Council on Aging and more.
