Village Arts Framing and Gallery, located in Sawgrass Village, is celebrating 46 years in business.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 11, it will host its annual holiday open house. Visitors will find many paintings influenced by plein air depictions of Florida as well as still lifes, abstracts and portrait art.

Several artists will be in attendance that day to talk about their art and processes.

“Discovering our gallery of original oil paintings, pastels, watercolors and photography is a surprise to many visitors and area residents,” said owner Pamela Keegan. "When people stop in to browse, I hear them say, ‘We didn’t realize you have such wonderful art here on exhibit.’ I tell them, ‘Yes, we are the best kept art secret in Ponte Vedra Beach.’”

Village Arts Framing and Gallery features works by local and regional artists, several who are award-winning and classically trained. It has more than 150 works on display.

“Many of our artists will work with clients to create larger commissions for their homes, too,” said Keegan.

Keegan and gallery manager Lisa Cederberg are both artists and have a combined framing experience of more than 50 years.

“We make framing art a friendly and enjoyable process,” said Keegan. “We invite you to discover our Ponte Vedra Beach ‘holiday artwalk.’”
