An “evening of powerful inspiration,” was hosted at The Cultural Center at Ponte Vedra Beach last Jan. 23. The event, organized by Trudy Toche, featured three keynote speakers aimed at inspiring women in business through mind, body and spirit to overcome adversity.

The panel hosted personal trainer Peggy Hilbert, clinical psychologist Dr. Robi E. Tamargo and assistant chief at the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, Lakesha Burton. Burton reflected on how her faith helped her through her struggles surviving as victim of domestic abuse and child molestation while overcoming discrimination.

Each host shared their story about what it took for them to rise to the top while conquering adversity.

Toche, an inspirational speaker and owner of Positively Profiling, said she is working toward hosting another panel in the fall, due to “the overwhelming response” from those who attended.

“When you feel a need, it’s something that you know is going to be successful,” Toche said. “We all have a story and we all have challenges;its about learning to overcome those and move forward in life.”
