The 7th annual Jacksonville Yellow Ribbon Fund Golf Tournament and Fundraiser will take place Nov. 10 and 11 at Marsh Landing Country Club.

The mission of the Yellow Ribbon Fund (YRF) is to provide financial support to injured military veterans and their families.

The “Salute to the Yellow Ribbon Fund” dinner event --featuring a sit down dinner and silent auction for players, spouses and sponsors -- will take place Thursday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m.

The golf tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, followed by lunch and an awards ceremony. Prizes will be awarded for the low net first through third place finishers and low gross teams first through third team winners. Additionally, numerous holes will have a skill prize, such as a “closest to the pin” contest and more.

The “Seal Team Six” 18-hole golf scramble event featuring a six-hole, six-person format, will begin immediately following the awards ceremony. The event, which replaces the Emergency 9 event from past years, will be an additional $20 per player entry fee. Participants will have a chance to win cash prizes.

Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Marsh Landing Club House will close out the day.

The entry fee to the YRF dinner is $100 per person or $150 per couple. The individual golf entry fee is $450 and includes green and cart fees, the YRF dinner for player and guest, continental breakfast, lunch for player and guest and limited beverages. The entry fee for foursomes is $1,800.

Individual and corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available. The maximum number of participants for this tournament will be 144.

More than 270 people attended the 2015 YRF dinner, raising $157,000. The goal this year is to raise at least $200,000.

Contributions made through the YRF, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization created in 2005, have provided services such as rental cars, taxi rides, hotel rooms and free tickets to sporting and other entertainment events to injured service members and their families.
