All Beaches Experimental Theatre presents “Violet,” a journey toward a miracle, with music that will lift spirits and stir the soul. Tony-nominated, and winner of the Drama Critics’ Circle Award and Lucille Lortel Award for Best Musical the show will be presents at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays, Sept. 13, 14, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29.
Director Michale Lipp said, “Once or twice a year, I binge on a dozen or so “obscure” musical cast recordings. In 1997, I discovered this small Off-Broadway musical called Violet with a wonderfully unique score. A patchwork of Americana – bluegrass, gospel, blues, and country – I found its music thrilling and unlike anything I’d heard before.
Online tickets are $24 adults and $14 under 18. At the door, tickets are $25 adults and $15 under 18. The house opens 30 minutes before curtain.
