Ascension St. Vincent’s is expanding services provided at the health system’s Baymeadows location to include urgent care walk-in appointments, as the health system continues to meet the growing needs of communities across Northeast Florida.
Ascension St. Vincent’s currently offers adult and pediatric primary care services on-site at 10058 Baymeadows Road (intersection of Baymeadows Road and Southside Boulevard) including annual physicals, immunizations, lab tests and medication management among others. By adding urgent care services, those in the area now have the option to receive walk-in care for minor injuries and illnesses.

“By offering heightened services at our Baymeadows location, we are ensuring that families are able to receive the care they need and deserve,” said Mike Shaw, chief strategy officer for Ascension Florida. “We are focused on meeting the patients we serve in the communities where they live. If we can expand services on the sites we already operate, we will never hesitate to do so.”
St. Vincent’s also recently began construction of a freestanding emergency room on Jacksonville’s Southside that is slated to open spring 2026. The project at Beach and Kernan boulevards includes nine treatment spaces and CT and X-ray technology. More than 40 associates will work at the care site and the team is expected to see nearly 16,000 patients annually.
St. Vincent’s was named a top 15 health system in the country for 2024 by Fortune and PINC AI.
