Coastal Friends will present Chris Hoffman, executive director of the Beaches Museum, as their guest speaker at the Wednesday, Feb. 5, luncheon. The luncheon runs from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Marsh Landing Country Club, 25655 Marsh Landing Parkway, Ponte Vedra Beach.
The cost to attend is $25. Reservations must be made in advance by contacting the luncheon chairman at bartshar@comcast.net. Deadline for checks to be received is Friday, Jan. 31.
Beaches Museum, located at 381 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville Beach, “explores the past, present and future of Jacksonville’s beach communities” by offering a diverse range of events, exhibits, archives and more.
Established in 1998, Coastal Friends (formerly known as Newcomers Alumnae) is a social club comprised of women who live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Nocatee, Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville and the surrounding area, and St. Augustine. Some of the many activities offered are adventures and outings, book club, bunco, canasta, happy hour, lunch in, lunch out, mah jongg, samba and wine socials. They also highlight a specific charity every month at their luncheons.
