Circle of Creation focus: Leadership, AI, EI

On Wednesday, June 25, community members gathered for the fourth Circle of Creation session at the link in Nocatee.

The discussion centered around leadership, emotional intelligence and the use of artificial intelligence, continuing the series that began back in April of this year.

After opening remarks from the series creator, Gurpreet Sania Misra, co-founder of the link and Sapna Foundation, attendees were treated to a special demonstration from Paesol Veerakitti, CEO and founder of Robocor.

“We’ve all used ChatGPT before, but what happens if you put it on wheels?” Veerakitti posed, ushering in the waist-high Link Bot, an automated robot on wheels powered by ChatGPT.

Attendees listened to Veerakitti speak about how his passion for AI and robotics led to real-world innovation, including the Link Bot and the Robocor Guardian bots, which are meant to aid humans, not replace them.

After a quick break, attendees took their seats and listened to a presentation from keynote speaker Dr. Emme Devonish, an executive coach, consultant, CEO and author who helps organizations bridge the gap between innovation and humanity.

“You never stop learning and growing,” said Devonish. “At any age, you can do almost anything … That’s what led me to coaching.”

Devonish’s presentation leaned more towards an open discussion, where she encouraged attendees to speak up at any point with comments or questions. She hoped to create a welcoming environment for attendees to explore the uses of AI and EI in leadership.

The second half of Devonish’s presentation was divided into three parts: an educational section, examples about how she applied AI in that very presentation and an interactive group activity.

“We want to talk about why emotional intelligence is essential for effective leadership and then we want to talk about how future-forward leaders implement AI to enhance business operations,” Devonish said. “Also, how do they introduce AI to their workforce?”

The next Circle of Creation session will take place on July 30 at the link in Nocatee, exploring small businesses (customer relations) and emotional intelligence + AI.
