Coastal contemporary redesign transforms Marsh Landing home

As the former CEO of Norwood Interiors – England’s premier kitchen and bath firm – Geoff Smith knows the difference that a few key renovations can make in transforming a home from so-so to stunning.

More than 50 local residents had an opportunity last weekend to witness how Smith put that theory into practice on a home he owns in Marsh Landing, when Berkshire Hathaway Realtor Janet Westling hosted a “sneak peek” reception and tour of the home, which is now for sale. Located at 2 Turnberry Pointe Way on the 13th green of the Marsh Landing Golf Course, the four bedroom, three and a half bath home now reflects a “coastal contemporary” flair that boasts a full range of both structural and interior design upgrades.

“Geoff and his wife live in Salt Creek,” Westling said. “He bought this home and renovated it from head to toe. From the new roof with a 50-year warranty to new flooring, a new driveway and landscaping, this home truly reflects Geoff Smith’s extensive design expertise.”

The 4,500 square-foot home’s interior has been completely remodeled, she said, with plumbing upgrades that include all new piping, a new water heater and water softener. Knockdown ceilings, Mohawk hardwood floors, new carpets and new tile floors have also been added, along with a wet bar and split face stone to the fireplace.

“The chef’s kitchen features a granite island, quartz counters and stainless steel appliances and opens to the spacious great room,” Westling said, “A wall of windows overlooking the pool brings the outdoor living room in, with amazing water to golf views.”

Externally, the home features new doors and windows and a summer kitchen.

“I share Geoff’s love of homes and the value that is earned from renovations,” Westling said. “In many cases, including renovations can not only bring a home back to life but also reveal the true design potential that was hidden. We’re looking forward to meeting the new owners of the gem that Geoff has designed for them.”

Listed by Westling and Allison Ferebee, and represented by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Network Realty, the home is offered for $1,120,000.
