Butterfield Garage Art Gallery invited the entire community to exercise their creative chops around the theme “The Art of Food.” This eclectic show allowed anyone in the community to have the opportunity to explore personal interpretations of the theme. Butterfield’s mission is to encourage accessibility and dialogue between artists, patrons and the community within Northeast Florida. This exhibit is an example of that goal.
Beginners to well-known local artists have responded, and this upcoming exhibit displays the results from that open call. All entries will be on display in the gallery during the month of May. The exhibit’s opening reception will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 2. The King Street gallery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on First Friday of each month until 9 p.m.
