Cub Scout Pack 277 holds Blue and Gold Dinner

Posted

Cub Scout Pack 277 recently held its annual Blue and Gold Dinner, celebrating the birthday of Scouting and honoring the achievements of its Scouts and leaders. The evening’s highlight was a special Arrow of Light ceremony recognizing nine Arrow of Light Scouts who officially crossed over into Troop 277 and 9297.

The Blue and Gold Dinner is a Cub Scout tradition held each February to commemorate the founding of Scouting in 1910. Families gathered to share a pizza, celebrate rank advancements and recognize the growth and accomplishments of the pack’s youth throughout the year.

During the ceremony, the fifth grade Arrow of Light recipients were recognized for earning Cub Scouting’s highest rank. The Arrow of Light Award represents years of dedication, leadership development, outdoor experiences and community service. Following the presentation, the Scouts crossed a symbolic bridge, marking their transition from Cub Scouting to Scouts BSA and the next chapter of their Scouting journey.

Pack 277 serves youth in kindergarten through grade five in Ponte Vedra. Throughout the year, Scouts participate in outdoor adventures, service projects, leadership activities and hands-on learning experiences that help build character, confidence and lifelong skills.
