Farm at Okefenokee enters a new phase

The Farm at Okefenokee, an extraordinary, regenerative farming community, has some exciting updates. Doug Davis, founder of The Farm, shared the news about this new chapter.

The first village, The Standing Gardens, was filled in 2024. The second phase of The Farm is underway with The Orchard. The Orchard centers around Tuscan-inspired olive groves. This beautiful village is expected to fill up by the end of 2025. Looking to the future, The Pasture is planned to launch in 2026.

This unique village includes an equestrian-friendly landscape and consists of cabins overlooking lush pastures. Shady exercise stations designed for joggers and walkers will be added as well so residents can enjoy exercise in the fresh air. Each village is unique and includes plenty of amenities to go with it.

In addition to the new neighborhoods, a barn-inspired clubhouse has been installed. Here, residents can gather and spend time together while enjoying the new space that includes indoor and outdoor kitchens and wood-fired pizza ovens. During the fall, The Farm will host a monthly Farm-to-Table Dinner Series where residents, guests and prospective buyers can mingle and enjoy sunset tours, refreshing mayhaw cider tastings and delectable dinners. Some other new additions to The Farm include a spring-fed swimming hole with a cypress dock, a traditional smokehouse, an expanded vegetable garden and a pasture-raised protein program.

Davis said The Farm also offers one-year-plus lease options for fully furnished cabins that are an excellent choice for those who want to experience life on The Farm without a lengthy commitment. The Farm’s charming atmosphere is reminiscent of simpler times, but with today’s tech. Cabins can be purchased with bitcoin, traditional financing or cash.

Although The Farm has more plans to expand, it will remain intentionally small with fewer than 250 cabins. Davis expressed that The Farm values community over commodity. This is just one of the many things that make The Farm at Okefenokee such a unique and beautiful place to call home.
