The 60th Isle Of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival was held May 2-4 in downtown Fernandina Beach. Local nonprofit and civic organizations prepared plenty of fresh seafood and shrimp dishes for hungry festival-goers. A fine-arts and crafts show featured the work of more than 300 artists and craftspeople. In addition, there were 75 antiques and collectibles booths. There was a kids’ fun zone, live music, contests and, of course, pirates.
