This Giving Tuesday, you can help shape the future for thousands of children across Northeast Florida.
For more than 60 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida has helped young people achieve great futures as productive, caring, responsible citizens. What began as a single club serving local youth has grown into a network that reaches tens of thousands of children across five counties.
Today, the organization operates 59 clubs across Alachua, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties, including 13 community-based clubs, 40 school-based sites and six park locations. Together, these clubs serve more than 18,000 registered members and reach an additional 53,855 young people through community outreach. Each day, more than 5,500 youth walk through club doors to learn, grow and connect with mentors who care deeply about their success.
Every dollar donated this Giving Tuesday helps keep those doors open. It provides meals for hungry kids, mentorship for teens who need guidance and access to programs that prepare youth for brighter futures. Your generosity creates a ripple effect of opportunity, empowering the next generation of leaders, innovators and changemakers across Northeast Florida.
A Place to Belong and Thrive
Every club is a safe haven, offering caring adult mentors and high-impact youth development programs during critical nonschool hours and throughout the summer. Members can count on receiving a hot meal, a helping hand with homework and a sense of belonging.
For some, that meal is the most nutritious one of their day. For others, mentorship inspires confidence and self-worth. The clubs are more than after-school programs, they are lifelines for hardworking families.
Building Skills for Tomorrow
The Boys & Girls Clubs’ programs prepare young people for real-world success. Career preparation and workforce development programs help teens explore paths to college, trade school or employment, while robotics and STEM activities inspire creativity, problem-solving and curiosity.
Through these programs, young people discover how their interests can lead to meaningful careers and lifelong passions.
Members also learn essential life skills, from financial education and teamwork to leadership and communication. These experiences empower them to become responsible citizens who will one day give back to their own communities.
The Power of Community
The success of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida is built on the generosity of individuals, businesses and community partners who believe every child deserves a fair chance at success.
“As a community, we are strongest when we invest in our young people,” said Paul Martinez, president and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northeast Florida. “The clubs provide a foundation for kids to grow, learn and lead, and that happens because of the people who stand with us, donors, volunteers and partners who believe in what’s possible for every child.”
Times are tight for many families, but the need for safe spaces, strong mentors and life-shaping programs has never been greater.
