Goodwill opens expansive Epic Village store, GoodCareers Center

Posted

Friday, Aug. 22, Goodwill Industries of North Florida opened the doors to a larger, more modern facility in St. Augustine’s Epic Village shopping center that combines a retail store and donation center as well as the first GoodCareers Center for St. Johns County.

The grand opening celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new store replaces Goodwill’s previous location at 2005 U.S. 1 South, which has closed. The move marks a significant upgrade for the community, offering more shopping space, enhanced donation facilities and the addition of a GoodCareers Center, providing free career development services for the first time at a Goodwill location in St. Johns County.

“Our move to Epic Village allows us to better serve the St. Augustine community in a whole new way,” said David Rey, president and CEO of Goodwill Industries of North Florida. “This isn’t just a new store — it’s a community hub where people can access career support and vital services alongside convenient donation drop-off and affordable shopping.”

The Epic Village GoodCareers Center will be the seventh across Goodwill’s 14-county North Florida territory. Services include career coaching, resume building, skills training and job placement assistance — all free and open to the public.
