Holiday pickleball event supports Jay Fund

Pickleball in the Sun hosted its annual Serving Up Hope: Pickleball in the Sun Holiday Bash on Sunday, Dec. 8 at The Yards in Ponte Vedra Beach.

The event brought together more than 50 community members for a day of open play pickleball, holiday shopping, and fundraising to support the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation.

Guests enjoyed browsing sponsor booths, participating in a gift card drive, and trying their luck with raffle donations, all to benefit local families tackling childhood cancer.

The Jay Fund provides comprehensive financial, emotional, and practical support to families with a loved one battling childhood cancer with the goal of allowing them to focus on what matters most – their child’s well-being.

"As the founder of Pickleball in the Sun and a proud Ambassador for the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, I am honored to host this social event each year," Laura Gainor said. "It's truly heartwarming to see our community rally together for such an incredible cause, and I look forward to growing this event in the years to come."

A highlight of the event was the unveiling of custom Jay Fund pickleball paddles featuring artwork by Liam, Finn, and Nash, who are young friends of the organization.
